FIKES UPNVJ - Jakarta, July 8, 2025 – The Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ), held a Socialization event for the Development of an Integrity Zone (ZI) for Prospective Civil Servants (CPNS) in 2025, as part of the institution's commitment to realizing clean, accountable, and corruption-free governance. The socialization event was led by Agustiyawan, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at the Faculty of Health Sciences, who emphasized the importance of understanding integrity values from the beginning of their service as civil servants. "The Integrity Zone is not just an administrative document. It is a moral and ethical commitment that must be internalized by the entire academic community, including CPNS, who are the new vanguard of change," he stated in his opening remarks.

The socialization materials were delivered by the Faculty's ZI Team and representatives from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The main focus included strengthening a clean work culture and excellent public service, implementing an internal oversight system, and concrete steps to prevent bribery and abuse of authority in the academic environment.

Participants were also provided with guidelines for reporting violations (whistleblowing), an integrity-based performance evaluation system, and real-life case studies of ethical violations in the public sector. It is hoped that UPNVJ's Faculty of Health Sciences civil servant candidates will not only be able to carry out administrative duties but also become agents of change in maintaining a culture of integrity on campus.

This socialization is part of a series of internal bureaucratic reform programs launched by UPNVJ's FIKES. In line with its strategic designation as an Integrity Zone towards a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (WBBM), the Faculty of Health Sciences is consistently committed to strengthening transparency and accountability, as a concrete manifestation of its commitment to defending the nation.

With this socialization, the Faculty of Health Sciences hopes that civil servant candidates (CPNS) will not only understand the Integrity Zone concept theoretically but also be able to apply it concretely in their daily work. This step lays a crucial foundation for building a higher education system oriented toward superior public service, professional integrity, and sustainable bureaucratic reform. (AGT)
