COLLABORATION MEETING BETWEEN THE PUBLIC HEALTH S1 STUDY PROGRAM FIKES UPNVJ AND UNIVERSIT TEKNOLOGI MARA MALAYSIA

FIKES UPNVJ - On Monday, September 29, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (10:00 a.m. Malaysian Time), a Collaboration Meeting was held between the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program FIKES of the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (PSKMPS UPNVJ) and Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM). The online meeting aimed to discuss recommendations for a collaborative lecture schedule for the Food Hygiene and Sanitation course between the two parties, as well as future collaborative research topics. UiTM was represented by Dr. Siti Norashikin binti Mohamad Shaifuddin, while PSKMPS UPNVJ was represented by Dr. Fajaria Nurcandra and Arga Buntara. The PSKMPS UPNVJ Coordinator, Dr. Chandrayani Simanjorang, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Agustiyawan, were also present.

This meeting resulted in the following conclusions:

Joint lectures will be held twice, namely on 2 or 3 December 2025 where UiTM representatives will give lectures to PSKMPS UPNVJ students and on January 13 2026 where PSKMPS UPNVJ representatives will give lectures to UiTM students;
Joint research between PSKMPS UPNVJ and UiTM in the future will raise the topic of microplastics contamination in freshwater fish used as food.

Collaboration between PSKMPS UPNVJ and UiTM has been established since 2021. This is a form of commitment from both parties to the advancement of science. It is hoped that this collaboration will provide broad benefits for students and the general public. [AB]
