UPNVJ's FIKES Program Produces Professional Healthcare Workers Through Graduate Training and the 2025 Oath-Breaking Ceremony

FIKES UPNVJ - Jakarta, September 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) once again held a Graduate Briefing and Oath-Breaking Ceremony on Thursday (September 11) at the Tanah Airku Hall, UPNVJ Campus. The Graduate Briefing event was attended by 369 graduates from various study programs, including: 99 graduates from the Nursing Professional Program (Ners), 71 graduates from the Nursing Diploma Program (Diploma Three), 1 graduate from the Physiotherapy Bachelor's Program (Bachelor's Program), 56 graduates from the Physiotherapy Diploma Three Program (Diploma Three), 81 graduates from the Public Health Bachelor's Program (Bachelor's Program), 6 graduates from the Public Health Master's Program (Master's Program), and 80 graduates from the Nutrition Bachelor's Program (S1).

The event began with a Graduate Briefing, followed by the reading of academic reports and the presentation of National Defense material by Dr. Azwar, SS., M.Si. The ceremony concluded with a symbolic handover ceremony for graduates from each Study Program Coordinator to the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of UPNVJ. The ceremony concluded with an official statement from the Dean regarding the Graduate Briefing and a group photo session.
The series of activities then continued with the Oath-Breaking Ceremony and Inauguration of the Professional Graduates. During the solemn ceremony, the graduates of the Nursing, Associate Nursing, and Associate Health Professionals took their professional oaths, led by the Dean of FIKES, with representatives of the following professional organizations as witnesses: the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI), attended by Ns. Indra Jaya Permana, S.Kep., Deputy Secretary of the PPNI Regional Executive Board for the Special Region of Jakarta; and the Indonesian Physiotherapy Association (IFI), attended by Virgorika Basuki Raharjo, SSt., Ft., S.Ft., Chairperson of the IFI South Jakarta. They were accompanied by clergy members of their respective religions.
As a formal sign of their membership in the professional organizations, the graduates also received professional badges and received a code of ethics book, along with the signing of the oath-taking ceremony minutes.
On this occasion, the Faculty also presented awards to the best graduates from each study program, who were accompanied by their parents/guardians during the award ceremony.
The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPNVJ, stated in his remarks,
"This Graduate Debriefing and Oath-taking ceremony not only marks the end of the academic journey, but also the beginning of professional service as healthcare workers. We hope that the graduates will be able to apply their knowledge while upholding ethics, professionalism, and a spirit of national defense in the community."
The event, which concluded with a group photo session, was solemn and filled with pride, and marked a historic moment for all graduates and their families.
With this event, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta reaffirmed its commitment to producing superior, ethical healthcare workers who are ready to serve the nation and state.
