FIKES UPNVJ - Officially Launches Nursing Masters ProgramVeteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) has again made an important achievement in the development of higher education institutions in Indonesia. UPNVJ officially received the Decree (SK) for the Establishment of the Nursing Masters Study Program from the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDikti) Region III. The Decree, issued on June 11, 2025, is a new milestone in the university's academic journey, while strengthening its position as a leading educational institution that is responsive to the needs of the times. The handover ceremony of the Decree took place solemnly and enthusiastically at the LLDikti Region III office, and was attended directly by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, S.T., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES), Desmawati, SKp., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.Mat., Ph.D., Head of LPMPP, Satria Yudhia Wijaya, SE., MS., Ak., and Vice Dean of FIKES for Academic Affairs, Rita Ismail, SKp., MKM., MTD(HE)., Ph.D.

With the launch of the Nursing Masters Study Program, UPNVJ now has a total of nine master's programs and 43 active study programs overall. At FIKES, the Nursing Masters study program will be the ninth study program and will be part of the academic strengthening of FIKES, which has previously fostered superior programs in the fields of public health, nutrition, nursing, and physiotherapy.
The UPNVJ Master of Nursing is designed with a distinctive "Kesehatan Matra" approach, which emphasizes the development of strategic roles of graduates as researchers, educators, leaders, and decision makers in facing health crises. The curriculum is based on the values ​​of national defense and national and global health policies, making graduates ready to face complex challenges in the health care system. This program not only answers the challenges of the need for advanced nursing personnel, but also prepares future leaders who have leadership, are resilient in critical situations, and uphold the values ​​of nationality, struggle, and love for the country. and are ready to serve amidst the dynamics of the global health world.

The homebase lecturers of the FIKES UPNVJ Master of Nursing study program are graduates of doctoral programs from leading universities at home and abroad. They not only have extensive teaching experience, but are also active in scientific publications in reputable national and international journals.

The new student registration plan will open in June 2025 for the odd semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, and the first lectures will begin in August 2025. The presence of this program also makes UPNVJ the second state university in Jakarta to hold a Masters Program in Nursing, emphasizing the university's commitment to providing quality higher education that is relevant to the needs of the world of work.
