FIKES UPNVJ - On Saturday, August 24, 2024, BEM Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta held an Emergency Class Guidance Period Activity with the theme "First Aid: Essential Knowledge for Emergency Situations" on the first day which was attended by 700 new students of the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. The Emergency Class, which is a continuation of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of the Faculty of Health Sciences, is a workshop work program that contains material presentations and practical implementations regarding handling traffic cases. The presentation of the material on the first day was carried out by the committee, speakers and new students of the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. There were 3 speakers on the first day of the Emergency Class. The material on victim evacuation was guided by Desak Nyoman Sithi, the material on cardiopulmonary resuscitation was guided by Agustiyawan, and splinting was guided by Heri Wibisono. This event was held online via Zoom Meeting. The emergency class event took place from 13.00-15.05 WIB.
This activity was carried out with the aim of providing an understanding and training related to first aid so that new students of FIKES UPNVJ 2024 can apply this knowledge to reduce the risk of more serious accidents if an accident occurs around them. The series of Emergency Class activities on the first day began with an opening led by the MC, reading of the rules and prayers, singing the song Indonesia Raya and the National Defense March, followed by a speech from the Chairperson of the Executive Committee, a speech from the Deputy Chairperson of BEM FIKES for the 2024/2025 period, a series of Self Upgrading Classes, a series of Aspiration Absorption Classes in the form of students expressing their opinions regarding the cases given, and lunch break. After the break time, the Emergency Class activity was opened by filling in attendance, followed by a presentation of material by Mr. Heri Wibisono, AMD.FT, S.Pd, MSI, AIFO who presented the material on Splinting, then continued by Mrs. Desak Nyoman Sithi, SKP, MARS, PhD who presented the material on victim evacuation, and continued by Mr. Agustiyawan, SST.FT, M.Fis, FTR, AIFO who presented the material on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, then closed with an explanation related to the practice that will be carried out on the second day of Emergency Class and an explanation of the Emergency Class assignments for new students. It is hoped that after this activity, new students of FIKES UPNVJ 2024 will gain new knowledge and be able to apply the material provided if they are faced with an emergency situation in the future.
