
FIKES UPNVJ - A community physiotherapy clinical practice activity was held at Kawan Stroke Indonesia (KaSI) on Thursday, October 9, 2025, organized by Group 5 of Diploma Three Physiotherapy Students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. The event was held offline at Kawan Stroke Indonesia (KaSI). The theme was "Physiotherapy Counseling to Improve the Movement Activity of Post-Stroke Elderly at Kawan Stroke Indonesia."
This counseling activity, part of the community physiotherapy clinical practice, aimed to improve knowledge, understanding, communication, and interaction with post-stroke elderly and caregivers. The activity took the form of education and group exercises.
On Thursday, October 9, 2025, the activity took place offline at Kawan Stroke Indonesia. The event began at 9:00 a.m. WIB. Approximately 35 participants from various regions attended. This activity was led by Raihan Pratama, Isti Aulia Hanifah, Anisa Nurhalifah, Mutia Ramis, and Zahrah Roja' Tsana' Wiryadinata, active students of the Diploma Three Physiotherapy Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. The activity began with an opening ceremony, followed by a post-test, an explanation of stroke, followed by group exercises for the upper and lower extremities, a post-test, and a closing ceremony.
The purpose of the "Improving the Independence of Stroke Patients" activity was to broaden the Physiotherapy Study Program, specifically the Diploma Three Physiotherapy Program at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, as a health promotion platform, and to provide participants with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of movement exercises to prevent joint stiffness, muscle atrophy, the risk of falls, and other issues.
