
FIKES UPNVJ - The SIGMA (Children's Nutrition Alert) program outreach activity was carried out on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 with the aim of mitigating, preparing, and handling malnutrition in toddlers, especially during flood conditions. This activity was carried out offline with the theme "Nutrition Alert, Ready to Face Floods" by students of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
This activity was carried out at the Teratai Posyandu, Taman Duta Barat Complex, RT 06/ RW 10, Sukmajaya District, Cisalak Village, Depok City, West Java, which was attended by the Teratai Posyandu Cadre, PKK Representatives from Cisalak Village, and PLKB Representatives (Family Planning Field Officers). The series of activities focused on increasing community capacity in preventing and handling malnutrition in toddlers through early detection and provision of locally-based additional food. The counseling activity was not only through the delivery of materials, but also equipped with material practices that were demonstrated directly by students of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
The event was closed with a group photo session and the giving of souvenirs. The SIGMA program activities received a positive response from the participants. Participants strongly suggested that activities such as the SIGMA program be held more often in the community to be able to become preventive provisions in the future.
