FIKES UPNVJ - Depok, September 15, 2025 – The 2025 Village Community Deliberation (MMK) was successfully held in a village in Depok City on Monday (September 15). This activity was part of the Field Learning Practice (PBL) program for students from the Public Health Study Program at the National Development University Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ), which aimed to identify and formulate solutions to community health problems at the village level.
The event ran from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time) with a series of formal activities, beginning with participant registration, an opening by the MC, and a communal prayer. The national anthem "Indonesia Raya," the National Defense March, and the Depok March were also sung as a form of respect and strengthening of national values.
On this occasion, Agung Raharjo, S.K.M., M.K.K.K, replaced Dr. Chandrayani Simanjorang, S.K.M., M.Epid., Coordinator of the Public Health Study Program at UPNVJ, delivered remarks and provided direction on the importance of collaboration between universities, the government, and the community. This was followed by remarks from the Sub-district Representative, Sanan Hidayat, S.Si., M.M., Secretary of the Cipayung Sub-district. In his remarks, he outlined several issues occurring in the Cipayung Sub-district, including the daily waste problem, which has become a major issue in the area.
The main agenda included presentations of problem identification results by student representatives based on their respective groups, followed by an interactive question and answer session with participants. The event culminated in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which resulted in group presentations, in-depth discussions, and the development of intervention plans to be implemented with the sub-district community.
Through this MMK activity, students not only applied the theory learned in class but also played a direct role in designing strategies for solving community-based health problems. This forum is expected to strengthen community involvement in maintaining environmental health, while also providing empirical experience for students as future public health professionals. The event concluded with a communal prayer, marking the end of the 2025 Village Community Meeting series.
