Participation of UPNVJ FIKES Lecturers in the Coaching Clinic for the Preparation of 2025 DPPM Grant Research Proposals

FIKES UPNVJ - Jakarta, March 18, 2025, ten lecturers from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) “Veteran” Jakarta participated in the Coaching Clinic for the Preparation of DPPM Grant Research Proposals in 2025 organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UPN Veteran Jakarta from March 17-18, 2025. This activity aims to improve the competence of lecturers in preparing competitive research proposals that have the potential to receive grant funds, with the hope of strengthening academic and research contributions within the university.

The participation of the ten lecturers represented four departments in the Faculty of Health Sciences, namely the Department of Physiotherapy, Nursing, Public Health, and Nutrition. This program is designed to provide a deeper understanding of research proposal preparation techniques that are in accordance with DPPM grant standards and to improve lecturers' skills in designing innovative and applicable research, in accordance with the needs and developments in science in the health sector.
This activity was carried out in the form of intensive training sessions guided by experts and practitioners in the fields of research and community service. Participants were given insight into various technical aspects in preparing a proposal, starting from determining a relevant topic, appropriate methodology, to preparing an efficient budget. In addition, participants were also given knowledge on how to adjust proposals to research priorities at DPPM to increase the chances of getting a grant.
Through this Coaching Clinic, lecturers at the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN “Veteran” Jakarta are expected to be able to produce research proposals that are not only of high quality, but can also meet the established grant criteria. This activity is also an important opportunity to improve the quality of research at the university and support UPN “Veteran” Jakarta's efforts to achieve a better reputation in the field of research.
On this occasion, participants were also given the opportunity to hold group discussions, which allowed them to share experiences and challenges in preparing research proposals. This not only enriches their knowledge, but also strengthens cooperation between departments in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Interactive discussions like this are expected to open up opportunities for cross-departmental research collaboration, which can produce more holistic research that has a big impact on society.
By participating in this Coaching Clinic, the Faculty of Health Sciences of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta is increasingly showing its commitment to improving the quality of research in the health sector. It is hoped that with the support of DPPM and training activities like this, the lecturers involved can prepare proposals that are not only competitive at the national level, but also provide significant contributions to the advancement of science and improving the quality of life of the Indonesian people, especially in the health sector.
