FIKES UPNVJ - Jakarta, May 22, 2024 — To increase the enthusiasm of prospective new students, the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta (FIKES UPNVJ) held an integrated outreach program throughout May 2024. This program targeted high school and vocational high school students and the general public, as part of FIKES's commitment to expanding access to information and increasing interest in the health sciences sector.
The outreach program took various forms, ranging from in-person visits to schools, interactive webinars, and promotional booths at education fairs. A team of lecturers, educational staff, and FIKES students participated in providing presentations on study programs, admission pathways, and career opportunities for graduates in the health sector.
"Through this activity, we hope that the public, especially prospective students, will become more familiar with FIKES UPNVJ and feel confident about continuing their studies here," said Agust., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at FIKES UPNVJ. He added that a personal approach through direct dialogue has proven effective in addressing students' doubts about studying in the health field.
UPNVJ's Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) offers several excellent study programs, including Bachelor's degrees in Public Health, Bachelor's degrees in Nursing, Bachelor's degrees in Physiotherapy, Bachelor's degrees in Nutrition, Diploma 3 in Nursing, and Diploma 3 in Physiotherapy. These six programs have been nationally and internationally accredited to continuously innovate their curriculum and learning facilities.
One of the participants in the socialization, Nabila (17), a student at SMA 6 DEPOK, admitted that she became even more interested in enrolling in FIKES after participating in the interactive session. "At first, I was confused about where to study. But after watching the presentation, I'm more confident about enrolling in the UPNVJ Nutrition Study Program," she said enthusiastically.
In addition to introducing academic programs, the event also highlighted the various achievements of FIKES students at the national and international levels, as well as the faculty's active role in community service and health research.
With the spirit of National Defense as its foundation, FIKES UPNVJ continues to strive to produce health workers who are professional, have integrity, and are ready to answer the challenges of the times.
